2010 Toyota Prius

We're far from convinced that the image above is the 2010 Toyota Prius, but judging by the front detail pic and the interior shot, it could be the most accurate portrayal we'll see before it's unveiling in Detroit this January.

The pic, published over at PriusChat by bossdowner, shows a restyled front end that takes a few cues from recent ToMoCo offerings, including the bulbous badge housing, deeper air dam and recessed fog lamps. The headlights are a nice touch, but we still haven't warmed up to the L-shaped design originally shown on the new Maxima and forthcoming 370Z.

As for the interior, it's a sea of bland in a dark gray plastic that would make the Germans proud. However, we dig the raised center console with an integrated pass-through to access the 12-volt outlet.

Millions Worth of Supercars and NO speed limit

The folks over at Luxist found this program for anyone who has ever wanted to drive a supercar. I thought it was a good fit. Supercar Life, the program that allows clients to drive some of the world's most exotic automobiles on a racetrack with no speed limit, traffic or police to spoil the fun, has a number of new events scheduled at the New Jersey Motorsports Park near newly hip Atlantic City over the next couple months. Supercar Life's linup of over $1.5 million worth of wheels includes the Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911 Turbo and Aston Martin DB9. The entry fee is $4,990 for the Track Package, which includes tuition from pro drivers in the Rolex Grand-Am series, catered trackside meals, an in-car DVD of your day and a post-event champagne celebration. The Luxury Package ($5,690) adds area hotel accommodations and all ground transportation. Programs in New Jersey are scheduled for August 26, 27, Sept 9 and 10, and Oct 7 and 8. Check out their site here for more details.

Y.U.P. Cars Goal

(Y)oung (U)rban (P)rofessional, or Yup is a term used to describe someone who is young, possibly just out of college, and who has a well-paying job and an affluent lifestyle. I am not talking about the Gucci wearing, Ferrari driving, money is no object Jackass. I am targeting those like myself, mid-twenties, good job, good taste, and a love of cars. I work very hard at my job and even do freelance work and side jobs to afford my taste in fine automobiles. I don't know fashion and I don't have a knowledge of fine wines, but I do know cars. My goal of this blog is to cater to the needs and wants of those like myself.

I will not disclose my current occupation, but I work in the automotive industry and I have access to majority of whats on the road. So my thoughts and opinions will not be re-purposed reviews or quick joy rides in a buddy's car.

Please write in and let me know what you think or have requests of certain automobiles.
